- Jim is a Director and Principal Consultant of EHS Configured
in the sustainable development of mineral-resources for:
- Acquisition, exploration to development
- Permitting through construction
- Operation to closure, or divestment
- Jim has a BSc. Hons Environmental Science and a PhD in groundwater management, attended workshops, conferences and is trained in:
- Auditing ISO management systems
- Safe-work behaviour and investigation of severe accidents (TapRooT)
- Crisis and emergency preparedness, responding to stakeholder ‘Outrage’ and news media
- Contractor management
- Evaluation of capital expenditure and projects
- Mine Closure – rehabilitation, landscape function analysis (LFA)
- Storage of wastes and migration of contaminants and isotopes
- Human and Ecological Risk Assessment
- He has worked in the resource industry since the mid-1980s on environment community, health, safety and security
- His experience relates to gold, copper, mineral sands, bauxite and alumina, iron ore and water resources in:
- Australia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Tanzania, Mali, Ghana, Hong Kong, Philippines, USA and Canada
- Jim has worked on land, air, aquatic and marine environments, on occupational health and community relations.
- He has led the development of management systems and software
- Jim has been involved in management of waste storages, the control of emissions or discharges and water protection/clean-up
